New England continental shelf and slope waters from 60 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...Strong high pressure centered
N of the area will drift N into the weekend. Broad low pressure
organizing along a stalled front S of the area this afternoon
will move slowly N and strengthen tonight. The intensifying,
broad low will drift N across the Mid-Atlantic waters later
tonight into Fri night, then continue moving N into the area
later Fri night or early Sat. The low will then stall, or briefly
move W, just to the SE and S of Long Island late Sat into Sun
night while slowly weakening. The low will finally move E and NE
late Sun night into Mon night, then clear E of the area Tue and
Tue night. Mariners should continue monitoring forecasts, and
consider avoidance plans as needed. This will be a long duration
event, and highly impactful to the mariner into the upcoming
weekend.
