offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.
Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.
Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...A high pressure ridge will
move E over the region today. A strengthening low and its
associated cold front will move SE through the waters later today
into tonight. High pressure will build SE over the region Fri,
then retreat slightly N Fri night as low pressure develops off
the mid-Atlantic coast just S of the waters. The low will track
E Sat, remaining S of the area, but extend a trough to its NW
into the SW portions Fri night and Sat. Ridging will build back S
across the area later Sat and persist through Sun, then shift S
of the area Sun night. A warm front will lift NE across the
waters Sun night into Mon, followed by a strong cold front
plunging SE across the area late Mon. The front will clear E of
the area Mon night.
