.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...A trough or weak front will
be over the waters today, with weak low pressure developing over
the waters along the boundary late today and this evening. The
low will be absorbed by a stronger, broader system moving SE and
E of the waters Sun and Sun night. Another surface trough will
move S over the area overnight Sun and early Mon, otherwise,
high pressure starts to build in from the W late Sun night and
continues through Mon night. As the high moves E Tue, a warm
front to the S will approach the area and move into the waters
Tue night. Low pressure moves E into the area along the front
Wed, moving E Wed night then followed by another high building
in from the W.

West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.
Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average

ANZ899-032000-
334 AM EST Sat Jan 3 2026
.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...With weak high pressure building
over the N waters today, a front will become nearly stationary
off of the Georgia and S Carolina coasts. Low pressure will move
off of the coast late today along the front, moving ENE tonight
and Sun while strengthening. The low will then pass to the NE of
the area by Sun night. Mariners should monitor later forecasts
for potential avoidance well offshore. A cold front extending SW
from the low will move well E of the S waters Sun night. A
secondary cold front may move S over the N and central waters Sun
and Sun night, stalling Mon off of the Carolina coast and
weakening Mon night as high pressure otherwise builds E. The high
shifts E Tue, and the remains of the front will then move N as a
warm front, being just N of the area by late Tue night. Low
pressure moves E along the front just N of the area Wed, and its
associated cold front will move E across the waters Wed and Wed
night followed by high pressure.
