.SYNOPSIS...A cold front will move offshore this morning, then
clear E of the waters later today. High pressure will gradually
build E toward the coast behind the front today, settle offshore
tonight, then shift E of the area Wed and Wed night. Another cold
front will approach from the NW Wed night, then move across the
waters Thu into Thu night. Another stronger cold front will
approach from the NW and move offshore Fri, then move SE across
the waters through Fri night. The front will stall along the S
portions Sat and Sat night, while a strong area of high pressure
builds SE over the northern areas. Low pressure will develop
along the stalled front just off the coast early Sat night, then
move NE across the southern portions later Sat night. Mariners
are advised to monitor later forecasts for updates on the
potential coastal system this weekend. The NAVTEX transmitter in
Charleston is not operational at this time. Technicians are
aware, and parts have been ordered.
