.SYNOPSIS...Broad low pressure just E of the S and central waters
will drift N and NE today into Fri night while strengthening,
passing just N of the waters Sat. The low will then meander just
N of the area Sat night into Sun night while weakening before
finally moving off to the E and NE Mon and Mon night. Strong
counterflow to the Gulf Stream will create large, very steep, and
possibly breaking waves resulting in a particularly hazardous sea
state. Weak high pressure will build SE toward the central and S
waters Mon and Mon night. Mariners should continue monitoring
forecasts as the strengthening low pressure system slowly crosses
the region into the weekend, and consider avoidance plans as
needed. This will be a long duration event, and highly impactful
to the mariner.
