.SYNOPSIS...Strong high pressure will remain in place over the
northern and central waters tonight through Mon night. The high
will slowly shift E of the waters Tue into Wed while maintaining
a weakening ridge axis W and SW into the area. A low pressure
trough along the SE coast will persist tonight through Tue, then
weaken Tue night into Wed. The trough will begin to strengthen
late Thu into Fri night. A strong cold front will reach the
northern waters Wed, then move quickly SE across the central
waters Wed night. The front will stall across the southern waters
Thu and Thu night, then remain in the area through Fri night,
while high pressure builds to the N of the area. Low pressure
will begin to organize along the front off the Georgia and South
Carolina coast Fri night. The USCG communications facility
Charleston, South Carolina is still experiencing technical
difficulties. Technicians are aware of the problem. We apologize
for any inconvenience.
