height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.
.SYNOPSIS FOR CALIFORNIA WATERS...An area of low pressure will
weaken and move E across the southern waters before eventually
dissipating along the coast later tonight. High pressure will
build E into the central waters tonight as a cold front moves SE
into the NW waters. The ridge will shift S of the area Wed and
Wed night as the cold front continues moving E and SE across the
waters. Another cold front or low pressure trough will develop
just to the W Tue night, then move SE across the central and
southern waters Wed through Thu. A warm front will approach the
northern and central waters Thu and move across the region Thu
night. A cold front will follow, and move across the northern and
central waters Thu night into Fri night while weakening. Sat a
warm front will approach the waters and move NE across the NW
portions, followed by a cold front that will sweep across the
northern and central waters Sun and Sun night.
