height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

.SYNOPSIS FOR CALIFORNIA WATERS...A high pressure ridge will
persist over the waters today and tonight, as a low pressure 
trough remains stationary along the coast. The ridge will weaken
as a cold front moves into the N waters Tue, and dissipate as it
moves into the central waters Tue night. A high pressure ridge
will build over the NW waters Wed, and begin to weaken and move
to the SE Wed night into Thu as a cold front approaches the area.
The front will move across the waters late Thu into Fri, with
high pressure building in behind the front Fri and Fri night, as
a low pressure trough redevelops along the coast.
