New England continental shelf and slope waters from 60 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...Intense low pressure centered
about 200 nm E of Cape Charles this morning will track very 
slowly N today, then turn NW tonight while approaching western 
Long Island or New Jersey. The low will become nearly stationary 
along the New Jersey coast Sun into Mon while weakening, then 
move NE across Cape Cod and the Gulf of Maine Mon night into Tue 
night. Meanwhile, strong high pressure centered NW of the area 
today will begin drifting E tonight. The high will turn SE and 
move over Newfoundland Sun night and Mon, then continue moving E 
away from the area early next week. A weak high pressure ridge 
will build into the waters Wed and Wed night. Mariners should 
continue monitoring forecasts, and consider avoidance plans as 
needed. This will be a long duration event, and highly impactful 
to the mariner into the weekend.
