.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...High pressure will shift E of
the waters early today. A warm front will lift N into the far S
waters later today into tonight, before low pressure moves E
across the far S waters later tonight and Mon while pulling a
cold front over the area. The cold front will stall S of the area
Mon night through Tue night as low pressure develops along and S
of the stalled front, then lifts slowly N towards the waters Wed
and Wed night. Strong high pressure will build N of the region
Tue and Tue night, then continue Wed into Thu night. The low will
strengthen just S of the region Thu and Thu night. Widespread
strong gale force winds, with storm force wind gusts, and
building seas are likely over most of the waters beginning Tue
and continuing through Thu night. Mariners should consider
avoidance plans as this significant weather system likely impacts
most of the region Tue through Thu night. Please monitor the
latest OPC and coastal marine forecasts.
