July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR WASHINGTON AND OREGON WATERS...A weakening cold 
front will move SE into the region today, before dissipating by 
this evening. High pressure will gradually build over the waters 
tonight into Tue. A low pressure trough will strengthen along 
the southern Oregon coast Mon through Tue, before slowly 
weakening Tue night and Wed. A weak cold front or low pressure 
trough will move E across the area later Tue and Tue night. High 
pressure will rebuild eastward over the waters Wed and Wed 
night, then gradually weaken Thu into Thu night.

W of the area early today, then merge with stronger high 
pressure to the W by later today. The high pressure area will 
then continue to build to the W and NW of the area tonight into 
Wed night. A low pressure trough will remain near the California
coast today through Thu night, with the trough strengthening 
tonight through Tue. Both the high pressure area and low 
pressure trough will gradually weaken Tue night into Thu night.
