Proposed Changes to High Seas Forecast Text Products to include Hazard Polygons

The NWS is accepting public comments on a proposal to change the format of the National Weather Service (NWS) High Seas Forecast (HSF) text products to reference polygon hazard areas that will be available in the Universal Hydrographic Data Model format known generically as "S-100". The United States provides warnings for wind and wave conditions in METAREAs IV (Atlantic) and XII (Pacific).
